Voliera — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4 October 2026 · Türkçe sürüm
Voliera is a breeding log for bird keepers: clutches, birds, pairs and pedigrees. This policy explains where your data is kept and who can see it, in plain language.
- No account, no sign-in.
- Everything you enter, including bird photos, is stored only on your phone.
- Voliera has no server and does not send your records to the developer or anyone else.
- The free version shows Google AdMob banner ads, which use the advertising ID (section 6). No analytics or crash-reporting tools are used.
1. Developer
The app is published by the developer shown on its Google Play page (VectoCraft). The contact address is at the bottom of this page.
2. Data stored on your phone
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Birds species, ring number, name, sex, colour, hatch date, parents, status, notes | Your bird register and pedigrees |
| Bird photos pictures you pick from your gallery | Showing a picture of each bird. The app uses Android's photo picker, so it only sees the pictures you choose; they are copied into the app's private folder. |
| Pairs and clutches pairings, nest boxes, egg counts, incubation dates | Hatch calendar and reminders |
| Settings language, Pro status | Showing the app the way you chose |
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, camera, microphone, usage statistics or crash logs.
3. Reminders
Candling, hatch-day and ringing-day reminders are scheduled by Android inside your phone. No notification server is involved.
4. Backup files and PDF pedigrees
When you tap Create backup file or Share pedigree as PDF, the app creates the file and opens your phone's share sheet; you choose where it goes (Drive, email, a messaging app…). Backup files are not encrypted and do not contain photos. The privacy rules of the service you send them to apply. When restoring, the app only reads the file you pick.
5. Android's own backup
If Android's Google account backup is on, Android may include the app's data in your Google backup. That is between you and Google and cannot be seen by the developer.
6. Third parties
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows a banner ad. When an ad is shown, Google may process your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and approximate location to show ads, prevent fraud and measure performance (policies.google.com/privacy). Your bird records and photos are never passed to ads.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first; you can change it in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- You can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalised ads in Android settings.
- Voliera Pro shows no ads.
Purchase (Google Play)
The one-time Voliera Pro payment is processed by Google Play. Your payment details never reach the developer; the app only asks Google Play whether the purchase exists.
7. Retention and deletion
- Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. Deleting a bird also deletes its photo.
- Settings → Delete all data permanently erases every bird, pair, clutch and photo on your phone.
- Uninstalling the app deletes its data from your phone (see section 5).
- Backup and PDF files you shared stay where you put them; you delete them yourself.
There are no accounts and the developer holds no data, so there is nothing to request deletion of.
8. Your rights
Data protection laws (such as the GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK) give you the right to access, correct, delete and copy your data. In Voliera all of it is under your control inside the app, and you can export a copy as a backup file.
9. Children
Voliera is not designed for children under 13. The app itself collects no personal data; ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience.
10. Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. If the app ever starts collecting data, this policy will be updated before that change.
